The Code outlines the high standards and the basic procedures that all member companies agree to and abide by.

What the DSA’s Code of Ethics means to you as our valued Hostess or Customer:

You should expect our Decorating Consultants (salespeople) to:
• Tell you who they are, why they’re approaching you, and what products they are selling.
• Explain how to return a product or cancel an order.
• Respect your privacy by calling at a time that is convenient for you.
• Promptly end a demonstration or presentation at your request.
• Provide accurate and truthful information regarding the price, quality, quantity, performance, and availability of products or services.
• Offer a written receipt in language you can understand.
• Provide his or her name and contact information, as well as the contact information for Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc.
• Offer a complete description of any warranty or guarantee.

If you need assistance with a product or service:
1. Please contact your Consultant immediately.
2. If the Consultant is unable to assist you, please contact Home Interiors & Gifts, explain the situation, and outline what assistance you seek.
3. If Home Interiors is unable to resolve your problem, you may wish to file a complaint with the DSA Code Administrator.

• Provide you with legal and accurate information on our compensation structure, products, and sales methods.
• Refrain from any unlawful or unethical recruiting practice and exorbitant entrance or training fees.
• Base all actual and potential sales and earnings claims on documented facts.
• Abstain from encouraging you to purchase more inventory than you can sell in a reasonable amount of time.
• Repurchase, at not less than 90% of the original cost, any inventory and sales aids you have purchased within
the past 12 months if you decide to leave the business.
• Explain the repurchase option in writing. (See your Business Guide for more information.)

If you need assistance as a Decorating Consultant:
1. Please contact your Unit Director immediately.
2. If your Unit Director is unable to assist you, please contact your Branch Director.
3. If your Branch Director is unable to assist you, please contact Home Interiors & Gifts, explain the situation, and outline what assistance you seek.
4. If Home Interiors is unable to resolve your problem, you may wish to seek assistance from the DSA Code Administrator.
